Chapters in Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade
Blazing Blade is split into 3 modes named after its 3 lords. Lyn Mode is an initial tutorial mode, and has 11 chapters and 1 gaiden chapters. Eliwood Mode follows Lyn Mode and is the main story mode. It has 21 chapters and 6 gaiden chapters. Hector Mode is unlocked after beating Eliwood Mode, and has 23 chapters and 8 gaiden chapters (one of these, 19xx, with requirements in the previous gaiden and Lyn Mode). This chapter guide shows Lyn Mode and Hector Mode, specifically their Hard Mode variants.
Like the previous game, there are some maps that will differ depending on the level totals of certain units. The player goes into the Linus version of Four-Fanged Offense if the levels of the 3 lords equal 50 or above, and then Lloyd is the boss of Cog of Destiny. Otherwise, if the lords' levels are below 50, the player heads to Lloyd's version of Four-Fanged Offense and Linus is the boss of Cog of Destiny. If the combined experience earned by characters that can promote with a Guiding Ring (Serra, Erk, Lucius, and Priscilla) surpassed that of Hero Crest users (Dorcas, Bartre, Guy, and Raven), the player heads into the Kenneth version of Pale Flower of Darkness. If the experience total is the opposite way, the player heads to Jerme's version.
